Does Probably Stolen Have an Ending? What Is Actually Confirmed
There is no verifiable ending yet. The buyout is not implemented, so the demo has no reachable story finish. A run ends via arrears or a security verdict.

There is no verifiable ending yet. Every ENDING video you see is someone finishing a long save, not a story conclusion.
The game states its goal plainly: keep the shop running on a divided station by covering rising rent and buying the store out (the store page and studio site use the line Turn a profit, secure a mortgage, and buy the shop). The opening text says the same thing.
That is a survival goal, not a linear story with a closing cutscene.
Why the demo has no ending
Because the finish line is not wired up.
A guide creator in September 2026 put it directly: “for now, in the play test, you can’t buy out your store… It’s not yet implemented.” He also concluded the playtest had no end-game condition and plays more like an endless career. The r/ProbablyStolen answer to the same question at the same time was “Can’t yet”.
So separate two ideas:
- A run ends: rent arrears, a security verdict with a fine or incarceration, or a full economic collapse. All three can happen.
- The story ends or you win: does not exist yet.
For the credit target and the buyout rules, read how to buy out the shop.
How a run ends
| Path | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Rent | Rent rises weekly and you get exactly one late-payment grace. Falling behind repeatedly drains attractiveness, footfall and revenue |
| Security | An investigation closes with a fine or incarceration. Security reputation lowers the fine, and the contact can delay it by destroying evidence |
| Collapse | Seized stock, failed inspections and unsold inventory break the cash chain |
Then what are the ENDING videos
They are long-run milestones, not story answers.
CthuLuck’s “Day 100+ ENDING Criminal Path”, for example, is about pushing past day 100, finishing off a criminal route and banking the buyout money. It is a valuable play record, but it reveals nothing the developer has not published.
Working out which state you are in
- The calendar screen: rent cycle and property value.
- Investigation progress: whether a case is active and roughly when it closes.
- Cash and stock: whether you can cover the next rent cycle.
What to watch after launch
The game releases on October 28, 2026, so ending content is unreleased content. Once the full game ships, endings and branches will be defined by official announcements and the actual build. Until then, any specific ending description has no source. For the schedule, read the release date.
